Marcia Smith: Hewlett Packard Co.
Marcia Smith is the Hewlett-Packard HR Manager for Consumer Business Organization, North America. She has been with HP for 22 years, and is responsible for human resource strategies in support of the North American Consumer Business, including leadership development, reward and recognition, workforce management, employee commitment and organizational change and culture. Currently, Marcia is part of integration team planning the merger with Compaq.

Marcia holds a BA in History from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania, an MA in History and an MA Industrial Relations from University of Minnesota. She’s also a PhD candidate in European History.

Eileen Boerger: ProDX
Eileen Boerger joined ProDX in August, 2000 as Vice President of Operations for Project Services. Eileen is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all ProDX project services. Eileen has extensive experience in the development and management of software systems and applications.

Prior to joining ProDX Eileen was Vice President of Operations at QualityLogic, where she was responsible for delivering Quality Assurance services to the company's customers. Prior to this she held a variety of management positions at Mentor Graphics Corporation, including Vice President, Intellectual Property Partnerships, Vice President of the Design Flows Strategic Business Unit and Vice President of Corporate Engineering.

Eileen was recognized by Open Computing magazine as one of the "Top 100 Women in Computing" and is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of the Software Association of Oregon (SAO) and the Women in Technology International (WITI) Foundation.

Karin Kolodziejski: Metaskills Consulting
Karin Kolodziejski is a senior organizational development consultant and founder of Metaskills Consulting. She has more than 20 years experience structuring Fortune 500 companies, developing management training programs and coaching executives. Karin’s client roster includes Arthur Andersen, Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), Hewitt, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Levi Strauss & CO., Nike, Monsanto, Sequent Computer Systems, Tektronix, Yellow Corporation and Wal-Mart.

Karin specializes in HR organizational structure, training programs, resource planning, survey-based planning and executive coaching. She received an Excellence in Human Resource Development Award from The American Society for Training in Development for her work at Tektronix.

Karin holds a B.A. in Psychology and Business, a M.S. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Purdue University, and is currently writing a dissertation for a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara.

Jan Heald Robinson: Teseda Corporation
Like the founders of Teseda, Jan Robinson has experience with companies that deal with integrated circuit design and testing. Robinson comes to Teseda after having worked in finance at Credence Systems Corp., an automated test equipment manufacturer, and Logic Modeling (now, Synopsys), an EDA company. She also worked at Sequent Computer Systems and most recently was controller at GES Exposition Services. During her 20-year career in finance she has focused on infrastructure development, acquisition integration and international expansion.

Teseda was founded in 2001 and develops products to test complex system-on-chip integrated circuits. In September 2001 the company received funding from venture companies and strategic investors including Synopsys and a major tester manufacturer.

Moderator Aliza Earnshaw: Portland Business Journal
Aliza Earnshaw joined the staff of The Business Journal in January 2001 as the reporter on technology companies. Aliza covers public and private companies and business trends in the greater Portland metro area, including Vancouver, Wash.

Prior to taking a full-time staff position, Aliza was a freelance writer for three years. She wrote for various publications, including The Business Journal, Metroscape (a magazine published by the Portland Institute for Metropolitan Studies), and professional journals and newsletters in the fields of healthcare, accounting, security and internet law.

Before settling on a career as a writer, Aliza held a wide variety of odd jobs �" some of them very odd indeed �" in several different locations around the world. She is married and has two children, one attending college and another still in high school.
